bandbench is a practice tool for a band: chord detection, a synced player, tempo/key tools, and syncing rehearsal recordings between a browser and the iOS and Android companion apps. This policy covers the bandbench service and its iOS and Android companion apps.
We do not collect location data, contacts, advertising identifiers, or analytics of any kind. No third-party SDK is embedded in either app or the server.
Solely to run the service: authenticate you, show you the songs and playlists you own or that were shared with you, sync your library and rehearsal recordings to your paired phone, and let you play back and practice against them. Nothing here is used for advertising, and nothing is sold.
We do not share your data with third parties. Content you upload is visible only to you, unless you explicitly share a playlist with another band member's email address.
Your data is stored on the servers that run bandbench, encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) between your device and the server. Audio, songs and playlists persist until you or an account admin deletes them — there is no automatic expiry.
You can request deletion of your account and the content associated with it at any time: delete my account. Content only you can see is deleted permanently; content you've shared with other band members stays, so deleting your account cannot take something away from people currently using it — it's reassigned to an account admin instead. You can also ask an account admin to do this on your behalf.
bandbench is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction).
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, for a material change, tell current account holders directly.
